He　said；　〃What　pledge　should　I　give　you？〃　〃Your　seal　and　its　cord；　and　the　staff　in　your　hand；〃　she　answered。　So　he　gave　them　to　her　and　slept　with　her；　and　she　became　pregnant　by　him。　　
　19　他玛起来走了，除去帕子，仍旧穿上作寡妇的衣裳。


After　she　left；　she　took　off　her　veil　and　put　on　her　widow's　clothes　again。　　
　20　犹大托他朋友亚杜兰人送一只山羊羔去，要从那女人手里取回当头来，却找不着她。


Meanwhile　Judah　sent　the　young　goat　by　his　friend　the　Adullamite　in　order　to　get　his　pledge　back　from　the　woman；　but　he　did　not　find　her。　　
　21　就问那地方的人说，伊拿印路旁的妓女在哪里，他们说，这里并没有妓女。


He　asked　the　men　who　lived　there；　〃Where　is　the　shrine　prostitute　who　was　beside　the　road　at　Enaim？〃　〃There　hasn't　been　any　shrine　prostitute　here；〃　they　said。　　
　22　他回去见犹大说，我没有找着她，并且那地方的人说，这里没有妓女。


So　he　went　back　to　Judah　and　said；　〃I　didn't　find　her。　Besides；　the　men　who　lived　there　said；　'There　hasn't　been　any　shrine　prostitute　here。'〃　　
　23　犹大说，我把这山羊羔送去了，你竟找不着她。任凭她拿去吧，免得我们被羞辱。


Then　Judah　said；　〃Let　her　keep　what　she　has；　or　we　will　bee　a　laughingstock。　After　all；　I　did　send　her　this　young　goat；　but　you　didn't　find　her。〃　　
　24　约过了三个月，有人告诉犹大说，你的儿妇他玛作了妓女，且因行淫有了身孕。犹大说，拉出她来，把她烧了。


About　three　months　later　Judah　was　told；　〃Your　daughter…in…law　Tamar　is　guilty　of　prostitution；　and　as　a　result　she　is　now　pregnant。〃　Judah　said；　〃Bring　her　out　and　have　her　burned　to　death！〃　　
　25　他玛被拉出来的时候便打发人去见她公公，对他说，这些东西是谁的，我就是从谁怀的孕。请你认一认，这印和带子并杖都是谁的，


As　she　was　being　brought　out；　she　sent　a　message　to　her　father…in…law。　〃I　am　pregnant　by　the　man　who　owns　these；〃　she　said。　And　she　added；　〃See　if　you　recognize　whose　seal　and　cord　and　staff　these　are。〃　　
　26　犹大承认说，她比我更有义，因为我没有将她给我的儿子示拉。从此犹大不再与她同寝了。


Judah　recognized　them　and　said；　〃She　is　more　righteous　than　I；　since　I　wouldn't　give　her　to　my　son　Shelah。〃　And　he　did　not　sleep　with　her　again。　　
　27　他玛将要生产，不料她腹里是一对双生。


When　the　time　came　for　her　to　give　birth；　there　were　twin　boys　in　her　womb。　　
　28　到生产的时候，一个孩子伸出一只手来。收生婆拿红线拴在他手上，说，这是头生的。


As　she　was　giving　birth；　one　of　them　put　out　his　hand；　so　the　midwife　took　a　scarlet　thread　and　tied　it　on　his　wrist　and　said；　〃This　one　came　out　first。〃　　
　29　随后这孩子把手收回去，他哥哥生出来了。收生婆说，你为什么抢着来呢？因此给他起名叫法勒斯。


But　when　he　drew　back　his　hand；　his　brother　came　out；　and　she　said；　〃So　this　is　how　you　have　broken　out！〃　And　he　was　named　Perez。　　
　30　后来，他兄弟那手上有红线的也生出来，就给他起名叫谢拉。


Then　his　brother；　who　had　the　scarlet　thread　on　his　wrist；　came　out　and　he　was　given　the　name　Zerah。　　

1　约瑟被带下埃及去。有一个埃及人，是法老的内臣，护卫长波提乏，从那些带下他来的以实玛利人手下买了他去。


Now　Joseph　had　been　taken　down　to　Egypt。　Potiphar；　an　Egyptian　who　was　one　of　Pharaoh's　officials；　the　captain　of　the　guard；　bought　him　from　the　Ishmaelites　who　had　taken　him　there。　　
　2　约瑟住在他主人埃及人的家中，耶和华与他同在，他就百事顺利。


The　LORD　was　with　Joseph　and　he　prospered；　and　he　lived　in　the　house　of　his　Egyptian　master。　　
　3　他主人见耶和华与他同在，又见耶和华使他手里所办的尽都顺利，


When　his　master　saw　that　the　LORD　was　with　him　and　that　the　LORD　gave　him　success　in　everything　he　did；　　
　4　约瑟就在主人眼前蒙恩，伺候他主人，并且主人派他管理家务，把一切所有的都交在他手里。


Joseph　found　favor　in　his　eyes　and　became　his　attendant。　Potiphar　put　him　in　charge　of　his　household；　and　he　entrusted　to　his　care　everything　he　owned。　　
　5　自从主人派约瑟管理家务和他一切所有的，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故赐福与那埃及人的家。凡家里和田间一切所有的都蒙耶和华赐福。


From　the　time　he　put　him　in　charge　of　his　household　and　of　all　that　he　owned；　the　LORD　blessed　the　household　of　the　Egyptian　because　of　Joseph。　The　blessing　of　the　LORD　was　on　everything　Potiphar　had；　both　in　the　house　and　in　the　field。　　
　6　波提乏将一切所有的都交在约瑟的手中，除了自己所吃的饭，别的事一概不知。约瑟原来秀雅俊美。


So　he　left　in　Joseph's　care　everything　he　had；　with　Joseph　in　charge；　he　did　not　concern　himself　with　anything　except　the　food　he　ate。　Now　Joseph　was　well…built　and　handsome；　　
　7　这事以后，约瑟主人的妻以目送情给约瑟，说，你与我同寝吧。


and　after　a　while　his　master's　wife　took　notice　of　Joseph　and　said；　〃e　to　bed　with　me！〃　　
　8　约瑟不从，对他主人的妻说，看哪，一切家务，我主人都不知道。他把所有的都交在我手里。


But　he　refused。　〃With　me　in　charge；〃　he　told　her；　〃my　master　does　not　concern　himself　with　anything　in　the　house；　everything　he　owns　he　has　entrusted　to　my　care。　　
　9　在这家里没有比我大的。并且他没有留下一样不交给我，只留下了你，因为你是他的妻子。我怎能作这大恶，得罪神呢？


No　one　is　greater　in　this　house　than　I　am。　My　master　has　withheld　nothing　from　me　except　you；　because　you　are　his　wife。　How　then　could　I　do　such　a　wicked　thing　and　sin　against　God？〃　　
　10　后来她天天和约瑟说，约瑟却不听从她，不与她同寝，也不和她在一处。


And　though　she　spoke　to　Joseph　day　after　day；　he　refused　to　go　to　bed　with　her　or　even　be　with　her。　　
　11　有一天，约瑟进屋里去办事，家中人没有一个在那屋里，


One　day　he　went　into　the　house　to　attend　to　his　duties；　and　none　of　the　household　servants　was　inside。　　
　12　妇人就拉住他的衣裳，说，你与我同寝吧。约瑟把衣裳丢在妇人手里，跑到外边去了。


She　caught　him　by　his　cloak　and　said；　〃e　to　bed　with　me！〃　But　he　left　his　cloak　in　her　hand　and　ran　out　of　the　house。　　
　13　妇人看见约瑟把衣裳丢在她手里跑出去了，


When　she　saw　that　he　had　left　his　cloak　in　her　hand　and　had　run　out　of　the　house；　　
　14　就叫了家里的人来，对他们说，你们看。他带了一个希伯来人进入我们家里，要戏弄我们。他到我这里来，要与我同寝，我就大声喊叫。


she　called　her　household　servants。　〃Look；〃　she　said　to　them；　〃this　Hebrew　has　been　brought　to　us　to　make　sport　of　us！　He　came　in　here　to　sleep　with　me；　but　I　screamed。　　
　15　他听见我放声喊起来，就把衣裳丢在我这里，跑到外边去了。


When　he　heard　me　scream　for　help；　he　left　his　cloak　beside　me　and　ran　out　of　the　house。〃　　
　16　妇人把约瑟的衣裳放在自己那里，等着他主人回家，


She　kept　his　cloak　beside　her　until　his　master　came　home。　　
　17　就对他如此如此说，你所带到我们这里的那希伯来仆人进来要戏弄我，


Then　she　told　him　this　story：　〃That　Hebrew　slave　you　brought　us　came　to　me　to　make　sport　of　me。　　
　18　我放声喊起来，他就把衣裳丢在我这里，跑出去了。


But　as　soon　as　I　screamed　for　help；　he　left　his　cloak　beside　me　and　ran　out　of　the　house。〃　　
　19　约瑟的主人听见他妻子对他所说的话，说，你的仆人如此如此待我，他就生气，


When　his　master　heard　the　story　his　wife　told　him；　saying；　〃This　is　how　your　slave　treated　me；〃　he　burned　with　anger。　　
　20　把约瑟下在监里，就是王的囚犯被囚的地方。于是约瑟在那里坐监。


Joseph's　master　took　him　and　put　him　in　prison；　the　place　where　the　king's　prisoners　were　confined。　But　while　Joseph　was　there　in　the　prison；　　
　21　但耶和华与约瑟同在，向他施恩，使他在司狱的眼前蒙恩。


the　LORD　was　with　him；　he　showed　him　kindness　and　granted　him　favor　in　the　eyes　of　the　prison　warden。　　
　22　司狱就把监里所有的囚犯都交在约瑟手下。他们在那里所办的事都是经他的手。


So　the　warden　put　Joseph　in　charge　of　all　those　held　in　the　prison；　and　he　was　made　responsible　for　all　that　was　done　there。　　
　23　凡在约瑟手下的事，司狱一概不察，因为耶和华与约瑟同在。耶和华使他所作的尽都顺利。


The　warden　paid　no　attention　to　anything　under　Joseph's　care；　because　the　LORD　was　with　Joseph　and　gave　him　success　in　whatever　he　did。　
1　这事以后，埃及王的酒政和膳长得罪了他们的主埃及王，


Some　time　later；　the　cupbearer　and　the　baker　of　the　king　of　Egypt　offended　their　master；　the　king　of　Egypt。　　
　2　法老就恼怒酒政和膳长这二臣，


Pharaoh　was　angry　with　his　two　officials；　the　chief　cupbearer　and　the　chief　baker；　　
　3　把他们下在护卫长府内的监里，就是约瑟被囚的地方。


and　put　them　in　custody　in　the　house　of　the　captain　of　the　guard；　in　the　same　prison　where　Joseph　was　confined。　　
　4　护卫长把他们交给约瑟，约瑟便伺候他们。他们有些日子在监里。


The　captain　of　the　guard　assigned　them　to　Joseph；　and　he　attended　them。　After　they　had　been　in　custody　for　some　time；　　
　5　被囚在监之埃及王的酒政和膳长二人同夜各作一梦，各梦都有讲解。


each　of　the　two　menthe　cupbearer　and　the　baker　of　the　king　of　Egypt；　who　were　being　held　in　prisonhad　a　dream　the　same　night；　and　each　dream　had　a　meaning　of　its　own。　　
　6　到了早晨，约瑟进到他们那里，见他们有愁闷的样子。


When　Joseph　came　to　them　the　next　morning；　he　saw　that　they　were　dejected。　　
　7　他便问法老的二臣，就是与他同囚在他主人府里的，说，他们今日为什么面带愁容呢？


So　he　asked　Pharaoh's　officials　who　were　in　custody　with　him　in　his　master's　house；　〃Why　are　your　faces　so　sad　today？〃　　
　8　他们对他说，我们各人作了一梦，没有人能解。约瑟说，解梦不是出于神吗？请你们将梦告诉我。


〃We　both　had　dreams；〃　they　answered；　〃but　there　is　no　one　to　interpret　them。〃　Then　Joseph　said　to　them；　〃Do　not　interpretations　belong　to　God？　Tell　me　your　dreams。〃　　
　9　酒政便将他的梦告诉约瑟说，我梦见在我面前有一棵葡萄树，
