the　　　remarkable　　　weapons；　　　the　　　words　　　upon　　　the　　　card；　　　corresponding　　　with　

those　upon　Captain　Morstan's　chart；here　was　indeed　a　labyrinth　in　which　

a　man　less　singularly　endowed　than　my　fellow…lodger　might　well　despair　

of　ever　finding　the　clue。
